Description
Raptor Hydraulic Excavator Thumb
The ‘Raptor’ hydraulic excavator thumb grabs are available in a range of sizes, to suit 1 to 25 tonne excavators. They are designed to work in conjunction with standard attachments such as digging buckets, riddle buckets and land rakes and will not impede the normal digging operation of the excavator, as they can be easily folded away when not in use.
The Raptor 600 features a cylinder integrated hydraulic pressure relief valve. This provides the thumb cylinder with protection from excess force and operates without adjusting any pressures on the excavator.
Each ‘Raptor’ model is derived from the latest American design, featuring a widened lower pivot joint and reinforced pin, which resists against uneven loads that are applied at the tip of the thumb.
Every hydraulic thumb undergoes a comprehensive manufacturing and quality control process, with all pivot joints line bored and bushed.

Every raptor thumb features a curved serrated edge, at the lower end of the main body.
This allows for an excellent grip on material such as rock, brash or timber.
Quality engineering – all pivot areas are line bored which removes any distortion in the metal that has occurred during the welding process.
Replaceable wear bushes and heavy duty heat treated pins are then inserted.
As a result of the line boring process, the pins will receive even distribution of load, significantly helping to reduce the wear and tear throughout the lifetime of the thumb.
